A Conditional Freedom
Written and transcribed by Terry Grant
This is a continuation of a message I have transcribed and edited from a talk Ishvara gave on May 28, 2006. - TG.
Ishvara:
Humans are programmed from Day One. Some people try to find the programmer, because they believe in the program. If you don't believe in the program, there is no need for a programmer, and that creates another problem. Everywhere you turn, you are bumping up against some structure, some boundary, some system, some "They say." Yet you like to imagine that you are free. Your "freedom" is a conditional freedom, your freedom is given to you by somebody else who is in charge, and so you have a pseudo freedom. It is not a real freedom. It is what somebody else SAYS is for you. Again, something is missing.
I wonder sometimes if the truth has ever been realized on this planet, at any moment. Everywhere I look, all I see is programming, programming everywhere.
It is rather easy to fall into a trap of thinking, "Well, this is all there is: You are born, you mature (more or less), you grow old and you die. And in between the birth and the death there are some experiences, programmed experiences." Have you really ever thought for yourself? Have you really ever looked at the meaning of Life for yourself? Most people accept what they are told: "This is what it is to be a human being; this is what human beings do; they keep doing this and doing this and doing this, and then they die." That's it.
Yet that is not quite satisfactory, so others come along and say, "Well, after you die, then there is something else." The control mechanism slips in as a sub-program that says, "If you want to go to a nice place, or a better incarnation, you have to be good, and then you will get a reward for being good."
There is programming and sub-programming; there are catches everywhere you turn. One program fortifies and enhances the other program, to keep the programs in place. It is all conditioning.
And so it is very easy to believe that you can only do so much, you can only become so much, you can only know so much, and then you must hit the ceiling, because that is as far as you can go.
Something really is missing, isn't it? A unique expression of the universe--the universe that has no boundary--is told, "That's as far as you can go." Think about it: That really doesn't jive, to tell a unique expression of the universe that you are bounded, that you are limited, that you have to adhere to a structure, that there is a ceiling, a stopping place, and you can only go so far, "Or Else!"
Those who teach something like that don't know about the universe. They don't know about Life. All they know is the programming. That's all. They just know the programs. They bought the programs, they paid for the programs, and they try to sell the programs to other people. Then people think, "Well, we are supposed to be nice to the peddlers of programs; they mean well." That includes the programmers who tell you, "This world is an illusion; physical existence is a dream; the human being is an illusion." They try to sell you that program so that you will believe this existence isn't it. Unfortunately, if you believe that, you roll through this existence with the idea, "This isn't it," all the while expecting something else. And all you get is death.
But the programmers don't want you to see that, so they make up some nice stories, some other programs, a sub-routine program that says, "Well, after you die, you are still there, because we have people who can talk to you; those who contact the dead can talk to you."
You may not like it when that is exposed as a program; you may believe that you can talk to dead people. You cannot talk to dead people, because they are no longer there. They have left and dissolved into everything. Why stick them into some pit, some place where they are bound and limited? That is utterly ridiculous. It is just as ridiculous for human beings to believe they are bound and limited. Utter ridiculousness and absurdities!

This weekly message is based on weekly talks given by Ishvara, at Alaya and have been transcribed by Terry Grant. Ishvara's talks are inspired by the world, current events, and the energy that is the Space itself. They are direct from the presence of the moment, of the space of Life. Ishvara is not a channel or a guru. Ishvara exists at a higher frequency and at all frequencies and shares these with us so that we may follow, transform our mental, emotional and physical selves and contribute to humanity in evolving into a new species of being. The intent of these weekly messages is to inspire from a higher frequency and offer insight on transformation, evolution and how to exist within the world among many problems and disfunction without being controlled by those environments.
Alaya is a community that exists in the Presence of Ishvara. Alaya exists at a higher frequency, where every action throughout the day is done with conscious intent. Everyday, menial tasks are done with higher thought, showing that to be conscious in every act, not just in meditation or on retreat, is to show that one is ready to transform, and in so doing, one transforms and evolves in every moment, not just at predetermined times. Transformation can be difficult at times, especially at an accelerated frequency. When this happens, it is a time to pause and collect oneself, evening out one's energy into a more stable form. Grounding the energy of transformation into the physical is one way to return to balance. The physical is often far slower to change than the rest of ourselves. Alaya is dedicated to transformation, and this it does, in every day.
